Household holdout

In February of 2019, I and 3 of my friends formed a team for Global Game Jam. The theme was “Home”. After brainstorming for a couple of hours we came up with the idea of making a dynamic tower defence game. Team composition was: one person was working on audio sounds, one – on the visual side, one – on programming and one helped with the visual and programming sides.

I took it upon myself to program core functionalities behind turret placement, enemy waves, enemy damage. We used the Unity game engine.

Apart from programming I also had to manage the team and control damage when one of our team members (originally, there were supposed to be 5 team members in total) left at the beginning of the jam and we had no artist left.

This project gave me quite a lot of valuable experience in time management, teamwork, work prioritization.
